The Lowndes County High School Indoor Practice Facility & Tennis Complex in Valdosta, developed as part of the Lowndes County School System, began its construction in May 2022 and reached completion by March 2023. This project encompassed a comprehensive 81,572 square-foot facility designed to accommodate various extracurricular activities including sports, band, dance teams, Color Guard, and the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps across the school system. In addition, 10 new tennis courts were constructed on site.

The steel frame structure, woven seamlessly into the existing campus, is complemented by a blend of brick and steel envelope with translucent wall panels for enhanced natural lighting. It houses restroom facilities and includes energy efficient lighting. The project’s scope involved extensive site work, including the construction of two retaining walls, a retention pond, parking lot, driveway, paving, fencing, and site sports lighting. The integration of these features aimed at fostering a vibrant and dynamic environment for diverse activities within the school system.
