Bibb County School District Transportation/Security Facility – Renovations, Additions, and New Structures

As the appointed Construction Manager for this project, our team masterfully executed the Renovations, Additions, and New Structures for the existing 76,078 SF facility. Throughout the Preconstruction and Construction Management phases, we meticulously handled scheduling, cost estimating, value engineering, budgeting, constructability reviews, systems analysis, construction activities, and post-construction responsibilities.

The comprehensive scope involved an array of tasks, including selective demolition, structural modifications to the existing pre-engineered metal building, construction of new additions, enhancements to MEP systems, upgraded interior finishes, and independent structures. A noteworthy expansion, totaling 5,168 SF, introduced a Bus Maintenance Shop equipped with Parts Storage, Offices, Restrooms, Breakroom, and Support Space for the Bibb County School District Transportation Operations. Notable features included new masonry walls, exterior modifications, state-of-the-art bus lifts, and upgraded finishes throughout.

Further enhancing the facility’s capabilities were three distinct structures spanning 15,245 SF. These additions encompassed a six-station automated Fueling Station, an Automated Bus Wash Facility, and a 10,400 SF Storage Building. This strategic integration provided comprehensive solutions tailored to the Bibb County School District’s Transportation and Campus Security Operations.

In line with the dynamic needs of the active campus, our team effectively navigated the complexities of this multi-phase project. The result was the successful transformation of a pre-existing facility into an optimized and expanded hub for transportation and security operations. The project concluded ahead of schedule, with a total space of 96,491 SF dedicated to meeting the diverse requirements of the Bibb County School District. Our services encompassed Pre-Construction Services, Construction Management Services, Scheduling, Cost Estimating, Constructability Reviews, Systems’ Analysis, and Closeout/Warranty Phase Services.
