Houston County Fire Station No.6

Perry, Georgia

Project Details

Our role as the Construction Manager encompassed Design, Pre-Construction, Construction, and Close-out Services. During Pre-Construction, our team diligently managed budgeting, schedule updates, value engineering, constructability reviews, and cost analysis.

This project involved the construction of a 2-story, 16,100 SF Fire Station in Perry, Georgia, adjacent to Perdue Farms. This station stands as Houston County’s sole 24/7 Fire Department that also serves as an EMS Headquarters. It is notably the county’s largest station and caters to three of the five largest industries: Cemex, Frito Lay, and Perdue Farms.

Within the station are 5 truck bays, including dedicated spaces for a ladder truck and the Georgia Search and Rescue Truck, a vital asset for Houston County. The building is thoughtfully segmented, housing distinct living quarters for both Fire Department and EMS personnel. Fire Department facilities encompass 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, office spaces, a dayroom, and a kitchen. Meanwhile, the EMS area comprises 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a dayroom. The second story provides an unfinished 4,100 SF space earmarked for future use as a training room.
